Using Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Systems in propagation
houses for new plant starts or for maintaining plants in
greenhouses or hydroponic growing is not Earth shattering news.

When you are using Reverse
Osmosis water you greatly reduce scale problems caused by
Inorganic Minerals, Heavy Metals, Gasses, and other unwanted
contents found in water.
Many growers are plagued with scale build up problems on leaves,
and roots, and in the soil. Some of the problems scale
crystalline build up from inorganic minerals can cause are the
light refraction off the leaf tops from this scale build up.
This causes the reduction of light and Ultra Violet absorption
(Photosynthesis). Another common occurring problem is when the
capillary action draws the moisture up under the leaf, the
coating of the scale build up under a leaf can cause restraining
of the absorption of the natural gasses (Stomatal Transpiration)
that the plant demands for great health, and growth. Last but
not least, scale build up on root hairs slows down absorption of
moisture, as well as nutrients from the soil, whether they are
natural or supplemented. Growth supplements and fertilizers,
pesticides, and herbicides dissolve more thoroughly when blended
with water that has a lower Total Dissolved Solids count. This
allows greater penetration of the supplement resulting in more
successful plant growth, which in turn equals monetary savings
and increased crop profits. When root production is stimulated,
healthier plants mean less culling, shorter growing time and
more products to market. Another savings that is recognized,
when using Reverse Osmosis water is the elimination of the
problem created by mineral scale build-up. This build-up of
mineral scale is greatly responsible for causing wear and tear
on equipment. Drip emitters clog, as well as does spray heads.
This takes man-hours to repair or replace. Also, injection pumps
run more efficiently without maintenance and break down, when
mineral deposits are eliminated. This saves money.
